Terms & Conditions – Shipkar Direct Booking
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the shipment of parcels and goods through the Shipkar Direct Booking platform (accessible via www.shipkar.co.in or other affiliated channels), a service provided by Shipkar Express for customers who wish to book courier services without creating an account. By booking a shipment through this facility, the user agrees to the following:
1. Definitions
- "User" refers to any person or entity booking a shipment through the Shipkar Direct Booking platform.
- "Shipment" means the package, parcel, or consignment booked for transportation.
- "Service" refers to the delivery or courier service offered by Shipkar through its own network or partnered logistics providers.
2. Eligibility
- This service is open to individuals or businesses with a valid Indian mobile number and address.
- KYC or ID proof may be requested for verification, especially for high-value shipments.
3. Scope of Service
- The direct booking service is only available for shipments that are compliant with Shipkar’s shipping policies.
- Shipments are subject to the availability of courier partners and serviceability in the origin/destination areas.
- No pickups will be done from restricted zones or areas not covered by Shipkar or its partners.
4. Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed for shipment:
- Currency, precious metals, jewelry
- Weapons, explosives, and hazardous materials
- Liquids, perishable food items
- Illegal substances
- Counterfeit goods or unlicensed products
- Any item restricted under Indian law or partner courier policies

5. Packaging Responsibility
- The user is solely responsible for ensuring that the shipment is packed securely.
- Damages caused due to improper packaging will not be compensated.
- For fragile items, appropriate cushioning and labeling (e.g., "FRAGILE") must be used.
6. Pricing and Charges
- Charges displayed during the booking process are based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the shipment.
- Final billing may vary based on actual weight/volumetric weight measured by the courier.
- Any additional charges (e.g., RTO, warehousing, FOV, taxes) will be billed separately if applicable.
7. Pickup & Delivery
- Pickup and delivery timelines are estimates only and not guaranteed.
- Shipkar will not be held responsible for delays caused due to force majeure, weather, strikes, or unforeseen logistic issues.
8. Tracking
- Users will receive a tracking link via SMS/Email/WhatsApp post booking confirmation.
- Real-time updates depend on integration with partner courier networks and may have delays.
9. Liability and Claims
- Liability is limited to INR 500 or the declared value, whichever is lower, unless insured separately via FOV (Freight on Value).
- Claims for lost or damaged shipments must be submitted within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery date.
- No compensation will be made without supporting documentation and inspection.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
- Bookings once made cannot be cancelled if pickup is already attempted.
- In case of non-serviceability or failed pickup, refund (if applicable) will be initiated within 7-10 working days.
11. Right to Refuse
Shipkar reserves the right to:
- Reject any shipment without providing a reason
- Suspend or blacklist users in case of abuse, fraud, or repeated violations
- Modify or terminate the Direct Booking facility without prior notice
12. User Conduct
Users agree to:
- Provide accurate information during booking
- Not use the platform for illegal or malicious purposes
- Cooperate during pickup (ID verification if requested)
13. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes, if any, will be subject to the jurisdiction of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
- Shipkar’s decision regarding operational matters will be final and binding.
14. Privacy
- Shipkar collects and uses user data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- Booking information may be shared with third-party logistics partners for operational purposes.
15. Modifications
Shipkar reserves the right to change these terms at any time. Continued usage of the platform will imply acceptance of updated terms.
Disclaimer
Please note that the refund policy, terms & conditions, and shipping policy mentioned under other sections or tabs of the Shipkar website do not apply to bookings made through the Shipkar Direct Booking form.
For such bookings, only the terms and conditions mentioned above will be applicable. By using the Shipkar form, you acknowledge and agree to abide solely by the terms set forth on this page.
